Employability is a yardstick for evaluating the quality of any professional institution. The Placement Cell of KKCE was established in the year 2005-06 with the aim of providing job opportunities to the students of this college in reputed institutions and in turn supply quality teachers to the society.
The Placement Cell operates through the Student Placement Committee consisting of Faculty and Student Representatives. It takes focused and continuous efforts for the purpose of Placement. The Cell motivates and prepares students for interviews in prospective Institutions. Careful and systematic preparation is initiated and sustained for this purpose.
The placement cell conducts formal campus interviews spread across two days for our students. Through this, our batch of 50 SY students gets an opportunity to attend more than 25 interviews within the campus. In addition, the placement cell disseminates information about vacancies in various educational institutions through pamphlets, brochures, posters, and social networking sites. The Cell organizes pre-placement workshops and orientations for the students where they are trained for CV writing, interview skills, and the selection process of institutions.
The close rapport developed by KKCE with various schools and colleges over the years has helped many students secure gainful employment. A good number of reputed Institutions regularly visit KKCE for campus placement every year and majority of our students get placed, some fetching multiple placements. The response to our campus placements has been overwhelming in recent years and 25+ institutions have visited KKCE for the same. In the year 2018-19, the average number of jobs offered through the campus rounds were 28(56%) and 46(92%) of our students were placed out of our campus rounds. The maximum average annual pay package is in the range of 2.16 -5.16 lakhs pa.
During the past 5 years, an average of 70% of students got selected in various schools, colleges, and NGOs prior to them even appearing for their final examination.
