Collaborations

KKCE has always been a firm believer in collaborating with different institutions – at local, national, and international levels as well as works on creating linkages. Over the past few years, the institution has collaborated for diverse areas, in some cases through MoUs. Some of our significant collaborations are as follows:

International Collaborations

Collaborative Action Research Projects are undertaken by KKCE students along with faculty from Gordon Academic College of Education, Haifa, Israel.
Workshops have taken for KKCE faculty and students by faculty from Gordon Academic College of Education, Haifa, Israel
Research-based sessions delivered by faculty from Gordon Academic College of Education, Haifa, Israel.
Involved in a collaborative project with iEARN International, an organization that connects educators in different countries through an interactive online platform.
Involved in an educational partnership with Gloucestershire University, U.K., and Egerton University, Kenya for projects like Global Citizenship, Climate Challenge, and Gardens for Life. Recently, the alumni members who participated in this project had a reunion in college with the pioneer of the idea – Mr. Greig Whitehead.

National and Local Collaborations/Linkages

Collaborated with Tata Institute of Social Sciences to organize a State Level Seminar titled “Curriculum for Excellence” for educators.
Linkages established with SNDT’s B.Ed (Special Education) department for exchange of resources and conducting Action Research.
Linkages also established with Centre for Development Education, Pune; Observer Research Foundation, Mumbai; CHIP – an NGO working with BMC Schools; and Radio MUST – the community radio of the University of Mumbai.
To encourage theatre and drama skills among teacher-educators and student-teachers as well as develop an appreciation of performing arts, the college collaborated with theatre group ‘Blind and the Elephant’.
Entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with AIESEC, Mumbai for exploring global internships for KKCE students.

Besides these, we also collaborate extensively with schools in Mumbai for Internships, cultural activities, and exchange of ideas; community centers and NGOs for community and outreach work as also local institutions like Nehru Science Center, BNHS, Trailblazers, etc. for providing enriched learning experiences to our students.
